Job Title: Residential Childcare Support Worker

Leaving Care Solutions is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team. As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, welcoming, and healthy environment for young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a responsive, customized, and quality service to young people, working in line with person-centered risk assessments and support plans.
  • Observe any changes in behavior, documenting and reporting changes in support needs of young people.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with young people, staff, and professionals, communicating effectively and actively seeking ways to improve the experience of young people in the service.
  • Ensure continuous support is provided to young people, focusing on their safety and well-being.
  • Liaise with external agencies, such as police and Emergency Duty Team (EDT), and support young people who need to attend the hospital or police station.
Requirements:
  • Experience of supporting young people who may be vulnerable.
  • Flexibility in availability, including weekend work.
  • Hold a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma/Children and Young People's Workforce/NVQ Level in Health & Social Care or equivalent, or be willing to study towards this.
  • Be willing to travel, with a full driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Excellent computer skills.
