Position Overview

The Business Operations and Internal Control Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of internal processes within a leading international financial institution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute internal control framework activities, including updates to delegation of authority and management of access rights to IT systems.
  • Oversee approval workflows in relevant systems and maintain organizational charts and Business Continuity Plans.
  • Support marketing teams with business travel arrangements, managing Gift & Entertainment policies, processing expense claims, and facilitating new employee onboarding.
  • Ensure precise record-keeping related to trade finance operations, including data collation and extraction from banking systems, while generating insightful summaries and analyses of trends.
  • Provide timely guidance to marketing divisions by maintaining a comprehensive understanding of existing policies and collaborating with other departments as necessary.
  • Assist in initiatives and projects by delivering relevant data from diverse sources in a timely manner.
  • Investigate discrepancies or inefficiencies impacting the Global Trade Finance Division, clearly articulating issues and proposing viable solutions with effective follow-up.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proven experience in financial services, particularly in an accounting-related capacity, with a strong preference for knowledge of trade finance products.
  • Strong numerical, accounting, and financial acumen, with the capability to manage and oversee financial information across various business lines.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including the use of pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP functions, and graphical data representation.
  • Knowledge of the Japanese language is advantageous but not mandatory.

In this role, a high level of attention to detail, proactive control measures, and clear documentation practices are essential to ensure data accuracy and clarity in analysis and reporting.
