Financial Oversight and Reporting

Analyze and document existing financial operations processes to pinpoint deficiencies and opportunities for enhancement. This analysis will encompass all Group and regional activities across AMER, EMEA, and APAC.

Assist the Group Finance Manager in developing a comprehensive suite of FRS102 accounting policies for implementation by global finance teams, while also providing support to local finance teams.

Contribute to the creation of control frameworks that align with Group accounting policies and facilitate global execution.

Collaborate with the Finance and Operations community to ensure adherence to policies, making necessary adaptations and documenting any agreed-upon exceptions.

Engage with Internal Audit to regularly assess and challenge financial processes and controls, reporting any significant findings to Group Management.

Assist in designing control testing workbooks and guidelines to enable peer-to-peer testing of controls.

Drive continuous improvement in the Group's monthly financial reporting processes and controls, including intercompany transactions.

Conduct regular reviews and validations of the Group balance sheet and key controls.

Support the preparation of a Group reporting pack intended for use across the organization.

Participate in ad hoc financial control initiatives as needed to assist the Group Financial Control team.

Qualifications

Essential Skills

Demonstrated technical accounting proficiency within international groups, with a strong understanding of UK GAAP, including group accounting, goodwill, capitalized development costs, and business combinations.

Proficient in finance systems.

Ability to quickly establish effective professional relationships and work collaboratively.

Capable of working efficiently under pressure and meeting deadlines.

Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

Experience in dynamic and evolving organizational environments.

Expertise in designing and implementing controls across an international Group.

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP systems and Power BI.

Experience in financial reporting and control within a multi-currency, multi-jurisdictional Group setting.

Background in consultancy or professional services.
