Senior Production Editor

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Content Operations team at Oxford University Press as a Senior Production Editor. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of academic books from delivery to publication, ensuring that products of high quality are available to the market on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the work of third-party supplier project managers in the production of print and online academic books content
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery
- Support and advise supplier project managers on the analysis and resolution of production issues
- Liaise and coordinate with pre-press suppliers to ensure smooth production processes
- Facilitate continuous improvement by mentoring and coaching supplier project managers
- Proactively contribute to the analysis and resolution of problems relating to supplier performance issues
- Generate and implement business process improvements and transformations
About You
- Ability to empathise and collaborate with others to resolve problems
- Flexibility and creativity in problem-solving, with excellent prioritization and organization skills
- Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders, including authors
- Good experience and understanding of print and digital production processes and workflow
- Good IT skills, including standard Microsoft Office package
