About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Production Editor to join our team in Oxford. As a key member of our editorial team, you will be responsible for overseeing the production stages of digital and print components of English language teaching and learning materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with in-house and offshore digital developers to ensure digital components are developed in line with briefing documents and delivered on schedule
  • Check and feedback on the key stages of the development of digital and print course components and content
  • Provide updates on production schedules for assigned print and digital components
  • Lead and coordinate production schedules, resourcing and delivery of appropriate projects
  • Create briefs for and oversee the work of freelance editors and suppliers
  • Negotiate terms with the freelance production editors in line with the project budget

Requirements

  • Experience of digital and print production editorial stages for educational products
  • Technical knowledge of editorial and authoring tools for interactive content
  • Strong project management skills and good financial awareness
  • Excellent communication and prioritisation skills
  • A solutions-focused approach and ability to work autonomously
