About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team as a Deputy Ward Manager. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients and supporting the ward manager in the day-to-day running of the ward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of nurses and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of patients.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of ward policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse with a strong background in acute mental health care.
  • Proven leadership and management experience, with a track record of success in leading teams and improving patient outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, including the Mental Health Act 1983.
