Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Haematology nurse to take on the role of Deputy Ward Manager on the Haematology ward at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Ward Manager in providing clinical and managerial leadership on the ward.
  • Gain insight into the Ward Manager role and develop the necessary skills and expertise to undertake the job.
  • Support the Ward Manager in clinical audit and research, as well as role modelling and supporting junior team members and students.
  • Contribute to the provision of high-quality patient care and support the Trust's values: Compassion, Delivery, Excellence, Learning, Respect and Improvement.
Requirements
  • Be in possession of, or working towards, degree-level education.
  • Have experience in haematology/oncology.
  • Hold Specialist Chemotherapy (SACT) training and experience.
