About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Ward Manager to join our team at Ashurst ward, a 11-bedded male psychiatric intensive care unit. As a key member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and supporting the recovery process of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the ward manager in delivering the unit's objectives in terms of patient care, staff development, and service development.
  • Provide clinical leadership of the ward environment, promoting the principles of recovery and ensuring individualized, safe, and effective care provision for all patients.
  • Undertake personal development and participate in staff appraisal and clinical supervision.
  • Articulate a clear vision of the standards expected within your team and actively contribute to a positive learning environment.
Person Specification

We are looking for an individual with:

  • A professional mental health qualification (Social Work, RMN, Psychologist, or OT).
  • Experience of working in an acute mental health setting.
  • Post-qualification training.
