We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Ward Manager to join our team at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a Deputy Ward Manager, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the ward manager in achieving the unit's objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and support to the ward team, promoting a culture of excellence and patient-centered care.
- Assist the ward manager in implementing and evaluating individual care plans, ensuring that patients receive safe and effective care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of service development initiatives, improving patient outcomes and experiences.
- Provide supervision and mentorship to qualified and unqualified staff, including students, to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver high-quality care.
- Participate in staff appraisal and clinical supervision, ensuring that staff are supported and developed to meet the needs of the service.
- Professional Mental Health qualification (Social Work, RMN, Psychologist or OT)
- Experience of working in an acute mental health setting
- Post-qualification training in mental health
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
