Senior Hardware Engineer

In the role of Senior Hardware Engineer, you will collaborate within a diverse team to develop and refine pioneering hardware engineering solutions for advanced products, including Helmet Mounted Displays, Head-Up Displays, Mission Computers, Flight Control Systems, Active Inceptors, and other critical safety technologies.

This position offers the chance to engage with state-of-the-art projects alongside a highly skilled and varied team, facilitating your professional growth within the industry.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Executing intricate hardware design assignments in line with the hardware development strategy, ensuring adherence to established timelines and budgetary constraints.
  • Conducting comprehensive hardware requirements gathering, initial design, and detailed design phases, including various analytical tasks.
  • Mentoring and enhancing the capabilities of junior team members.
  • Delivering design documentation that complies with both company and industry standards.
  • Collaborating with other disciplines within an integrated engineering team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree or HND in Electronics Engineering or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in digital and/or analog electronics technologies.
  • Experience navigating the engineering development lifecycle, from concept through to product certification.
  • Ability to understand cost and schedule constraints impacting design decisions to fulfill program requirements.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Mentor Graphics Expedition Enterprise, analog simulation tools (e.g., Simetrix or Spice), timing design tools (e.g., Chronology), signal integrity tools, system development tools (e.g., Enterprise Architect, Matlab, Simulink), and requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS) is advantageous.
