Job Description

Job Title: Digital Video Content Strategist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Video Content Strategist to join our team at LG Electronics. As a key member of our content team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing editorial strategies for our digital video platforms, including LG Channels and O&O Channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement editorial strategies for LG Channels and O&O Channels, including content acquisition, programming, and promotion.
  • Collaborate with content providers to understand programming priorities and timelines, and influence promotion and placement to drive increased engagement on LG Channels.
  • Support the onboarding of new content partners, including liaising with tech partners through the process of QA, ingestion, ad placement, launch, and ongoing performance monitoring.
  • Drive communication, education, data management, performance, and reporting across partners.
  • Develop and implement A/B testing strategies to maximize user engagement.
  • Work with content providers and vendors to onboard content.
  • Analyze and contribute to the overall growth of the channel through the lens of content and programming, providing insight and recommendations to the team on how to better program the service to improve engagement.
  • Build processes for successful launch of new channels, reposition existing channels, scheduling licensed content, performance reporting.
  • Support strategic KPIs of growing LG video ad inventory through increased streaming in LG Channels.
  • Work with LG marketing for content initiatives.
  • Continuously analyze current channel lineups along with competitor lineups to prioritize channel partnerships and promotion, contributing to performance reviews with partners.
  • Assist with inventory forecasts and models.
  • Must have a strong point of view on what content works for LG Channels viewers, helping to guide how we work with content partners, studios, networks, etc.
  • The Programming Manager will be responsible for understanding what's relevant in pop culture and use that information to recommend programming strategy.
  • Needs to be a highly communicative and trusted by internal LG counterparts, content providers, 3P tech partners.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • English-speaking country preferred and at least one other European language.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience.
  • Experience programming or product management experience in the digital video delivery space with demonstrated success in technical operations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with digital program scheduling tools.
  • May be requested to work evenings or weekends for special program live events.
