Lead Swimming Instructor: Edinburgh & Surrounding Areas

Stepping Stones is a leading private swim education provider in Scotland, celebrated for our exceptional, low-ratio swimming lessons tailored for children. We are in search of a committed Lead Swimming Instructor who can exemplify our values and ensure the effective execution of our aquatic program. Role Overview: In the capacity of the Lead Swimming Instructor, you will deliver top-notch lessons while acting as the primary point of contact for ensuring the daily smooth operations of our swim programs. This encompasses supporting newly qualified instructors, addressing customer feedback, evaluating class levels, and fostering strong relationships with facility personnel such as facility managers or club managers. Your role will be crucial in connecting the teaching staff and venue personnel with the administrative team, ensuring that the high standards of Stepping Stones are not only met but surpassed.

Qualifications:

  • National Governing Body Swimming Teacher Certificate (Essential) SSTQ | UKCC | STA | ASA
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity within a swim instruction setting.
  • NRASTC or NPLQ qualification required.

Main Duties:

  • A commitment to deliver a minimum of 5 days per week with Stepping Stones.
  • Oversee the delivery and advancement of swimmers within our program, ensuring the highest quality of instruction.
  • Support and mentor newly qualified instructors, providing guidance and constructive feedback.
  • Manage customer feedback and ensure prompt resolution of any concerns.
  • Evaluate class levels and modify lesson plans as necessary for optimal learning outcomes.
  • Facilitate communication between the instructional team and administrative staff, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with facility personnel to foster a positive environment for our swim lessons.
  • Participate in monthly training sessions.

Additional Requirement:

  • Clean driving license & ability to travel to various Stepping Stones venues within the region.
