Lead Swimming Instructor for Venue Operations

Stepping Stones stands as a leading private provider of swimming education in Scotland, celebrated for our exceptional, low-ratio lessons tailored for children. We are in search of a committed Lead Swimming Instructor who can exemplify excellence and guarantee the effective execution of our aquatic curriculum. Role Overview: In the capacity of Lead Swimming Instructor, you will deliver top-notch lessons while serving as the primary point of contact for daily operations within our venues. This encompasses supporting newly qualified instructors, addressing customer feedback, evaluating class levels, and fostering robust relationships with facility personnel, including facility and club managers. Your contribution will be vital in connecting teaching staff with venue personnel and ensuring that the high standards of Stepping Stones are consistently met and surpassed.

Qualifications:

  • National Governing Body Swimming Teacher Certificate (Essential) SSTQ | UKCC | STA | ASA
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity within a swimming instruction setting.
  • NRASTC or NPLQ qualification required.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Commit to delivering a minimum of 5 days per week with Stepping Stones.
  • Oversee the instruction and advancement of swimmers within our program, ensuring the highest quality of teaching.
  • Support and mentor newly qualified instructors, offering guidance and constructive feedback.
  • Manage customer feedback and ensure prompt resolution of any concerns.
  • Evaluate class levels and modify lesson plans as necessary for optimal learning outcomes.
  • Facilitate communication between the instructional team and administrative staff to ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with facility personnel to create a positive atmosphere for our swimming lessons.
  • Participate in monthly training sessions.

Additional Requirement:

  • Possess a clean driving license and the ability to travel to various Stepping Stones venues within the region.
