Responsibilities of the Aquatic Facilities Technical Specialist include:
- Assessing, planning, and prioritizing maintenance and repair needs for our network of swimming pool facilities.
- Overseeing contractor management, including organizing and leading site meetings, monitoring performance against objectives, and ensuring appropriate cost recovery measures are implemented.
- Collaborating closely with Sport Operations Managers to provide regular updates on all facets of swimming pool operations.
- Ensuring timely execution of repairs and planned preventative maintenance in accordance with specifications.
- Evaluating risk assessments and method statements to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Conducting routine inspections of pool and plant room facilities to maintain technical compliance and identify maintenance requirements.
- Managing pool chemical contracts to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and resilience of all relevant agreements. Regularly reviewing pool test results and ensuring that necessary corrective actions are taken by venue teams.
- Performing ongoing analysis of pool chemistry results to confirm that all venues are accurately recording results within acceptable parameters, while supporting venue managers in implementing corrective measures as needed. Overseeing the procurement of parts and chemicals for all pools to maintain consistency and appropriate stock levels.
