Position Overview: As an Entry-Level Instructor at Stepping Stones, you will be welcomed into a nurturing environment, providing you with opportunities to observe seasoned instructors and acquire practical experience, thereby enhancing your confidence as a swimming educator. You will be instrumental in the implementation and advancement of swimmers within our aquatic program, focusing on children typically aged between 3 to 11 years. This role presents a distinctive chance to establish a solid foundation in swim education while positively influencing children's growth and development.

Required Qualifications:

  • National Governing Body Swimming Teacher Certificate (Essential) SSTQ | UKCC | STA | ASA
  • Enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional growth
  • Desirable NRASTC or NPLQ qualification, though not mandatory

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in a thorough mentoring and observation program to enhance teaching abilities and confidence
  • Assist in the secure delivery of swimming lessons in accordance with the Stepping Stones weekly framework
  • Facilitate the progression and development of each swimmer through the Stepping Stones framework
  • Participate in the assessment of swimmers for the awards program biannually
  • Provide necessary feedback to the Stepping Stones office as required
