Entry-Level Swimming Instructor

Stepping Stones is a prominent private swim education provider in Scotland, recognized for offering exceptional, low-ratio swimming lessons for children in small groups. We are currently seeking enthusiastic Entry-Level Swimming Instructors who are ready to start a rewarding career in aquatic education.

Position Summary: As an Entry-Level Swimming Instructor at Stepping Stones, you will be welcomed into a nurturing environment that encourages you to learn from seasoned instructors. This role offers hands-on experience, enabling you to develop your skills and confidence as a swim educator. You will be instrumental in the teaching and advancement of young swimmers within our program, primarily focusing on children aged 3 to 11 years. This position presents a unique chance to establish a solid foundation in swim education while positively influencing children's growth and development.

Required Qualifications:

  • National Governing Body Swimming Teacher Certificate (Essential) SSTQ | UKCC | STA | ASA
  • Strong desire for continuous learning and professional growth
  • Desirable NRASTC or NPLQ qualification, though not mandatory

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in a thorough mentoring and observation program to enhance teaching abilities and self-assurance
  • Assist in the safe execution of swimming lessons in accordance with the Stepping Stones curriculum
  • Support the growth and development of each swimmer through the established framework
  • Participate in the assessment of swimmers for the awards program biannually
  • Provide necessary feedback to the Stepping Stones administration as needed
