About the Role

Salary: £25,119 to £26,421 per annum, £19,740 to £20,763 pro rata.

Location: Your primary office will be situated at Drayton Depot, which is located in a rural area. The role requires regular attendance at the office and site visits, with potential for remote work as dictated by service needs.

Contract: This is a permanent position, with a work schedule aligned to term-time, totaling 44 weeks annually, plus an additional 6.4 weeks of paid leave.

Working Pattern: This is a part-time role, requiring 30 hours of work per week. Flexible scheduling options are available and will be discussed with your supervisor. Some shifts may be split to accommodate school transport needs, and working hours will be adjusted based on operational requirements.

Employer Pension Contribution: 19.70%, subject to annual review each April.

As the Transport Coordination Assistant, your focus will be on enhancing passenger care. This involves ensuring a secure transport experience for individuals with complex needs who may require medical support during transit. You will oversee a team of Passenger Assistants and Health Care Assistants responsible for delivering necessary care to passengers.

Our service facilitates the transportation of children to and from educational institutions. The Passenger Assistants (PAs) serve as chaperones and possess basic first aid training.

Your responsibilities will include managing approximately 40 PAs within a designated area. Key duties encompass:

  • Providing guidance and training to team members.
  • Coordinating with drivers and external service providers.
  • Facilitating communication between parents and educational institutions.

  • Valid full driving license.
