Automotive Safety Evaluator

As a key player in our corporate system safety governance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of automotive embedded systems within our portfolio. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our mission of shaping the future of mobility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough and independent evaluations of automotive embedded systems to verify adherence to ISO26262 standards, covering various systems including chassis and ADAS.
- Provide comprehensive safety status reports to senior management, aligning with ZF's overarching risk management strategies.
- Identify and escalate safety concerns to top management, offering your expertise to facilitate effective resolutions during confirmation reviews and audits.
- Oversee series releases from a safety perspective, possessing the authority to halt releases if necessary.
- Collaborate with development teams to establish and monitor improvement initiatives aimed at achieving excellence in functional safety.
- Engage in a holistic approach that integrates functional safety, SOTIF, and cybersecurity to ensure robust protection of our systems.
Your Qualifications:
- A master's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in developing safe embedded systems, with roles such as safety engineer or functional safety manager.
- Extensive knowledge of safety standards, particularly ISO26262, and associated methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain an independent perspective while leveraging practical experience.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% and proficiency in business English; knowledge of German is advantageous.
