About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Care Professional to join our team at Home Instead. As a Senior Care Professional, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care services to our clients in the West Fife and Kinross area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the start of new care packages, ensuring seamless transitions for clients and caregivers.
  • Conduct client and caregiver introductions, building strong relationships and trust.
  • Regularly review and update care plans, schedules, and medication records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to caregivers, promoting continuous improvement and excellence in care delivery.
  • Conduct periodic quality assurance checks, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Support caregivers in their roles, including shadow shifts and training, to enhance their skills and confidence.
  • Collaborate with the Registered Care Manager and office team to ensure effective communication and coordination of care services.

Requirements

  • SCQF Level 7 (SVQ 3) or equivalent in Social Services and Healthcare, or willingness to work towards this qualification.
  • Experience in the care sector, delivering a wide range of personal care services.
  • Knowledge of MAR sheets and medication management in a care setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Full driving license and means of transport, if required, to visit clients in the territory.
  • Organizational and flexible mindset, with a commitment to meeting the needs of the business.

Additional Information

  • Maintain regular contact with caregivers, ensuring their needs are met and they receive ongoing support.
  • Build positive relationships with clients, their families, and other professionals involved in their care.
  • Support the Registered Care Manager during incidents or events, providing a calm and professional presence.
  • Participate in company events, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
