Job Summary

Kent County Council is seeking a skilled Youth Justice Practitioner to join our team. As a member of our multi-agency service, you will work in partnership with various stakeholders to provide support and interventions to young people aged 10-18 who have come into contact with the criminal justice system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and complete reports for Court and panels.
  • Work directly with young people and their families to complete interventions as part of their statutory programme.
  • Participate in regular attendance at Youth Justice team meetings and multi-agency meetings for prevention and risk management.
  • Take part in the service duty rota and attend Youth, Magistrates, and Crown Courts regularly.

Requirements

This role requires a Full UK Driving Licence, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with young people, families, and colleagues.
