Job Summary

Kent County Council is seeking a skilled Youth Justice Practitioner to join our team. As a member of our multi-agency service, you will work in partnership with various stakeholders to provide support and interventions to young people aged 10-18 who have come into contact with the criminal justice system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and complete reports for Court and panels.
  • Work directly with young people and their families to complete interventions as part of their statutory programme.
  • Participate in regular attendance at Youth Justice team meetings and multi-agency meetings for prevention and risk management.
  • Take part in the service duty rota and attend Youth, Magistrates, and Crown Courts regularly.

Requirements

  • Hold a Full UK Driving Licence (or be able to drive with a disability).
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
