Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Recovery Focused Practitioner to join our dynamic service. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting service users to establish greater control over their lives, helping them to identify aspects that give meaning, hope, value and purpose.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide support to individuals within the service, role modelling and using lived experience of secondary mental health services
- Work with service users on a one-to-one or group basis to help them achieve their individual recovery goals
- Collaborate with the wider staff group to ensure the environment supports service users to reach their goals
- Develop and maintain a range of skills and knowledge to support service users, including flexibility and adaptability
Person Specification:
- Good IT skills, including Word and Outlook
- Ability to use the RIO electronic records system (desirable)
- Lived experience of secondary mental health services
- Willingness to share own life experiences
- Minimum of 1 year experience working with people with mental health needs (desirable)
- Car driver with full driver's license and insurance
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility to change and innovation
- Ability to work a variety of hours to suit the needs of service users and the service
- Willingness to complete job-specific training
