Pension Actuary Consultant Job Description

Lane Clark & Peacock LLP is a leading actuarial and analytics consultancy providing expert advice on pensions, investments, employee benefits, insurance, energy, and health.

We are seeking a highly skilled Pension Actuary Consultant to join our team in London or Winchester.

Our pension actuarial department is renowned for its expertise and is highly respected within the industry. We advise a diverse range of clients, including trustee and corporate clients, and count over 50% of FTSE100 companies among our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with consultants and partners to provide expert advice to clients on a range of pension schemes and sizes.
  • Review and analyze work done by others to ensure high-quality results.
  • Carry out complex calculation work, including approximate valuations and analyses of surplus.
  • Prepare detailed reports and analyze the impact of pension schemes on balance sheets of UK and international companies.
  • Take on a leadership role in managing projects and client work as you progress.
  • Attend client meetings with partners as opportunities arise.
  • Present internal training sessions for junior colleagues from time to time.
Requirements:
  • At least two years of experience in a UK pensions consultancy and making good progress with the actuarial exams.
  • Excellent UK pensions technical knowledge.
  • Confidence and the ability to communicate clearly with colleagues, partners, contacts, and clients.
  • Excellent presentation and written communication skills.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality work to clients.
