Job Title: Principal Systems Engineer (Requirements and Acceptance)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the integration of SWS Requirements from the SWS Major System Design Authority onto UK Dreadnought Platform Systems, ensuring alignment with the Ship Specification in DOORS.
  • Manage changes to the SWS Requirement set in DOORS.
  • Review Requirements Acceptance Forms to verify compliance with Ships Specification Verification Goals, ensuring all claims are substantiated by objective evidence.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance in your area of expertise, utilizing strong interpersonal skills to communicate complex design matters.
  • Work autonomously with a high level of technical expertise, demonstrating a commitment to professional engineering principles and values.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience, with a focus on relevant work-based knowledge.
  • Extensive experience in requirements elicitation, management, and independent verification and validation of complex systems.
  • Proficient in using requirements management tools such as DOORS or Cradle.
  • Strong understanding of related project and product domains, particularly in submarine systems or equivalent fields.
