What you'll be doing:
Designing and delivering classroom-based Radar Training Courses
Scheduling of commercial training and liaising with project teams to plan future courses
Providing Technical training Subject Matter Expertise (SME) advice and guidance to the training management team throughout all phases of the radar training lifecycle Management, technical coaching and mentoring of the teams
Line management to the team of lecturers

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:
Training experience and knowledge of training techniques - within STEM
Demonstrates competence in the conduct of training and development, either through the completion of a recognised education, training course or through experience gained in the conduct of training design and delivery
Working knowledge of current learning and development methodologies and training methods and media (including Computer Based Training (CBT), multimedia, simulation and Virtual Reality (VR))
Sound understanding and working experience of the acquisition of training media
Management experience of the small team

Desirable:
Knowledge and sufficient experience of the successful application of the Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT), including the DSAT Quality Management Standard (QMS) and DSAT guidance documentation, working experience of how DSAT processes may be effectively tailored and their linkage to high level customer policy and their impact on the business
Demonstrate sufficient experience of working within and leading a team comprised of radar specialists within Defence or the wider Defence Industry sector, and have demonstrated the ability to lead such teams
Knowledge and working experience of Radar systems

The team:
In the Customer Training Team at Cowes, the Principal Radar Instructor will oversee and provide radar training. In support of larger radar projects, you will contribute your expertise to the creation of bids for radar training. You will also be in charge of scheduling, reporting, facility management, content design, and delivery.
