Job Title: Lead Electrical Systems Engineer

Role Overview:

As a Lead Electrical Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and drafting technical specifications while assisting in the selection and procurement of contracts.
  • Collaborating with external vendors and clients to ensure project alignment.
  • Managing the design lifecycle to guarantee equipment delivery meets specified requirements.
  • Providing expert technical advice to multidisciplinary teams, suppliers, and stakeholders regarding power systems.
  • Preparing comprehensive technical documentation, including reports, calculations, and presentations to effectively convey findings and recommendations.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in power systems engineering.
  • Familiarity with high power and medium voltage power electronics, machinery, and drives.
  • In-depth knowledge of power systems, including generation, distribution, and conversion.
  • Experience working within engineering roles adhering to industry standards and codes.
  • Proven ability in complex design programs.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

About the Electrical Equipment Team:

Joining the Electrical Equipment Team means engaging in the specification and tendering processes for equipment within the Electrical Power System. You will oversee the technical aspects of contracts through various design reviews until completion, collaborating closely with external suppliers to uphold the highest engineering standards necessary for delivering advanced submarines.
