Job Summary:

We are in search of a seasoned System Manager to take charge of our IT system framework. The successful candidate will possess over 15 years of expertise in system oversight, showcasing a robust blend of both technical and managerial skills.

Reporting directly to the Head of Infrastructure, your role will encompass the daily administration and strategic planning of the enterprise systems architecture, which includes the Teleperformance Call and Data Centre system fabric, along with the associated Engineering teams. This hybrid position necessitates hands-on involvement while ensuring effective oversight, control, and guidance. You will be tasked with delivering operational excellence and maintaining optimal uptime performance to satisfy the demands of the business and its clientele, ensuring that the regions of the UK and SA are configured and protected against cyber threats, in alignment with Teleperformance's global security protocols and best practices. Furthermore, the role will guarantee compliance and certification, where applicable, to standards such as PCI-DSS, ISO27001, and Cyber Essentials Plus. You will spearhead innovation and best practices while being commercially aware of overall cost management and expenditure control.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning: Formulate, contribute to, lead, and execute IT strategies that resonate with the company's objectives. System Management: Supervise the installation, configuration, and upkeep of hardware and software systems. Team Leadership: Guide and mentor a team of IT professionals, offering support and direction. Performance Monitoring: Assess system performance and ensure the reliability and security of IT infrastructure. Budget Management: Oversee the System IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and resource distribution. Regularly optimize costs. Risk Management: Identify and alleviate risks associated with IT systems and infrastructure. Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate with stakeholders, including senior management, to provide updates and recommendations. Project Management: Assist in company-wide projects (both business and internal) from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to schedules. Monitor and Maintain systems KPIs and SLAs, ensuring they are consistently met. Collaborate with the Head of Infrastructure to identify, recommend, and implement new technologies that can enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Teleperformance's systems infrastructure. Develop, implement, and support the testing of IT disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure operational continuity in the event of disruptions. Manage a 24 x 7 On Call Support rotation, serving as an escalation point for any outages.

Technical Skills:

System Administration: Expertise in managing Windows, Linux, and Unix systems, including Windows Server, AD Domain Services, DHCP, DNS, vSphere, Hyper-V, Exchange + M365, Web Filtering (preferably Zscaler), MECM, Veeam, Solarwinds, Splunk, HPE Hardware (Proliant, Synergy, Nimble, OneView). Cloud Computing: Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Azure. Security: Comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices. Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash. Knowledgeable in industry-wide security standards, privacy, and frameworks such as PCI-DSS, CE/CE+, GDPR, etc.

Non-Technical Skills:

Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team. Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Adaptability: Ability to adjust to evolving business needs and technologies. Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Capacity to work independently and collaboratively with other IT team members. Proven leadership with strong interpersonal skills. Clear and concise communication when interacting with senior leadership. Ability to perform well under pressure. Capacity to drive solutions with minimal input from senior team members. Commercially aware of the significance of cost optimization and efficient vendor management. Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, AZ, etc.) are advantageous. Extensive experience in system management and IT leadership roles.
