Position Overview

Job Title: Systems Modeling Engineer

Location: Flexible working arrangements available. Please discuss options with your recruiter.

Compensation: Starting from £52,600, based on skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in cutting-edge projects such as Tempest, enhancing air platform capabilities by:
  • Creating model representations of systems and platforms, including requirements, functionalities, and control models that contribute to a digital twin of the platform.
  • Collaborating with a network of engineers to comprehend the interactions between interfacing systems and platforms.
  • Formulating strategies to leverage modeling for optimizing verification, validation, demonstrations, and trial activities.
  • Conducting model verification activities utilizing real-world data from service and trials.
  • Identifying solutions and options that yield benefits at a platform level, sometimes across multiple platforms.
  • Providing guidance and influence to a diverse and highly skilled community of specialist engineers and team leaders.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience through HND/HNC.
  • Experience in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Familiarity with aircraft systems operations and key performance metrics.
  • Capability to analyze system and aircraft performance.
  • Preferably experienced with logical and mathematical engineering tools (e.g., SysML, Matlab/Simulink, Cameo System Modeller).
  • Understanding of Model-Based Systems Engineering principles and associated toolsets.
