Position: Lead Engineer for Fluid Systems

Location: Various locations with flexible working options available.

Compensation: Competitive salary Key Responsibilities:
  • Guide and innovate functional engineering solutions that address a diverse range of cross-disciplinary interactions and requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to define and capture specifications for equipment and components that meet the demanding needs of the product.
  • Collaborate directly with clients to establish requirements and acceptance criteria based on operational scenarios, use cases, and other design considerations.
  • Lead the execution and review of engineering calculations and analyses to inform design decisions and validate system performance.
  • Develop comprehensive design evidence to support a safe and effective design, fostering customer confidence in the proposed solutions.
  • Coordinate and manage a broad stakeholder network to tackle complex engineering challenges and make informed engineering decisions.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related Science fields.
  • Chartered Engineer status with a recognized engineering institution.
  • Experience in Fluid Systems Design and the ability to produce design documentation for presentation to clients and broader audiences.
  • Proficient in solving intricate engineering calculations.

About the Mechanical Engineering Team: The Principal Engineer – Mechanical will play a crucial role in the design and development of Mechanical Platform Systems that provide essential ship services and crew life support for future generations of Nuclear Submarines. This position will involve significant engagement with upcoming submarine programs, contributing to the design and development of various critical systems.
