Elevation Recruitment Group is collaborating with a prominent organization in Leeds seeking to appoint a Strategic Finance Partner due to expansion on a permanent full-time basis.


In this role, you will report directly to the Head of Finance and will be tasked with managing various reporting obligations while developing strategic relationships with stakeholders across different departments. You will also be responsible for implementing enhancements to existing processes.


This position presents an excellent opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the company's strategic direction by delivering essential commercial insights and decision-making support. You will have regular opportunities to present to the board and engage with Executive Directors and senior management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Commission Reporting: Oversee the commission reporting process for brokers and staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
  • Unbilled Position Analysis: Analyze the unbilled position to identify any discrepancies or irregularities.
  • Data Analysis: Employ advanced data analysis methods to derive insights from financial and operational data, aiding the Finance team in making informed decisions and enhancing business performance.
  • Process Improvement: Regularly assess and refine reporting processes to boost efficiency, accuracy, and data integrity. Implement best practices and automation to optimize reporting tasks.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies. Assist with internal and external audits as required.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Sales, Operations, and Billing, to gather necessary data for reporting. Foster strong working relationships to ensure smooth information exchange.
  • Support the Head of Finance as needed.

Essential Skills & Experience:
  • A Bachelor's degree and a relevant postgraduate qualification in Accountancy is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting, data analysis, and commission management within the energy sector or a comparable industry.
  • Strong grasp of financial principles, accounting standards, and reporting best practices.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, including Excel, ERP systems, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-focused mindset.
  • Familiarity with the UK energy market and regulatory environment is advantageous.
