Elevation Recruitment Group is collaborating with a prominent organization in Leeds seeking to appoint a Strategic Finance Partner due to expansion on a permanent full-time basis.


In this role, reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will oversee and manage various reporting obligations while cultivating strategic relationships with diverse functions across the organization and driving process enhancements.

Key Responsibilities of the Strategic Finance Partner:

Commission Reporting:
Oversee the commission reporting process for brokers and staff, ensuring precision, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.

Unbilled Position Analysis:
Track and evaluate the unbilled position to identify potential discrepancies or anomalies.

Data Analysis:
Employ advanced data analysis methodologies to derive insights from financial and operational data, empowering the Finance team to make informed decisions and enhance business performance.

Process Improvement:
Continuously assess and refine reporting processes to boost efficiency, accuracy, and data integrity. Implement best practices and automation to optimize reporting tasks.

Compliance and Governance:
Ensure adherence to relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies. Assist with internal and external audits as required.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with other departments, including Sales, Operations, and Billing, to gather necessary data and information for reporting purposes. Foster strong working relationships to facilitate seamless information exchange.
Support the Head of Finance as needed.

Essential Skills & Experience:
A Bachelor's degree and a relevant postgraduate qualification in Accountancy would be advantageous.
A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in financial reporting, data analysis, and commission management within the energy sector or a comparable industry.
Strong grasp of financial principles, accounting standards, and reporting best practices.
Proficiency in financial software and tools such as Excel, ERP systems, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Excellent organizational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting tight deadlines.
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
Familiarity with the UK energy market and regulatory framework would be beneficial.
