About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced IFA Administrator to join our team in Barnet. As an IFA Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Financial Advisers in delivering exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Support: Assist Financial Advisers in preparing recommendations and producing suitability reports, including preparing and maintaining client records, data gathering, and application form preparation and submission.
  • Client Communications: Record client communications and client-related communications on the client's file in clear and intelligible English.
  • Information Gathering: Collect and collate information and data about clients in accordance with the principles of 'know your client' and company policy.
  • Financial Planning: Assist in identifying areas for planning and sourcing solutions suitable to meet clients' needs and objectives, including assisting in the preparation of tax calculations where necessary.
  • Research and Analysis: Obtain information, quotes, illustrations, and product details, and provide comparisons for analysis.
  • Reporting: Prepare suitability letters and reports for approval by the Financial Adviser in line with company policy and prepare associated accompanying documentation as required.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with administrative functions, such as new business processing, income matching, collating and providing management information, and organizing future planning meetings with clients on behalf of the Financial Adviser.

Requirements:

  • Financial Planning Knowledge: Understanding of the Financial Planning process.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to work within defined business processes.
  • Self-Motivation: Ability to achieve agreed outcomes without supervision.
  • Organizational Skills: Prioritize and plan own workload.
  • Attention to Detail: Detailed and accurate.
  • Communication Skills: Articulate and excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Technical Skills: Good IT skills and good report writing skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and in a team.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Financial Services Experience: Experience of maintaining good working relationships in the delivery of financial advice services or similar environment.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to assess information, make comparisons, and identify critical features.
  • Continuous Learning: Ability to acquire, update, and apply new skills and knowledge.
  • Goal-Oriented: Set own goals and want to deliver agreed targets.
  • Record Keeping: Retaining supporting records for review.
