Compensation: Competitive salary up to £36,000 per annum based on experience.

We are seeking a Lead Medical Administrative Coordinator to enhance our Neuro department. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the seamless delivery of top-tier administrative and secretarial support. You will collaborate with a dedicated team of secretaries supporting a group of Neurosurgeons, with direct oversight of two surgeons within the practice.

Your primary workplace will be in a prestigious central location, with responsibilities that may require you to assist at additional sites when necessary. You will manage patient appointments effectively, engaging with patients and healthcare staff to facilitate optimal care delivery. Additionally, you will undertake various tasks as directed by the Practice Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive secretarial assistance to the Consultants' practice, including the transcription of sensitive clinical and non-clinical documents. Coordinate patient admissions, request diagnostic tests, and retrieve results using hospital data systems, promptly notifying consultants of any urgent findings. Handle correspondence and telephone inquiries with professionalism. Maintain meticulous patient records, ensuring accurate filing and preparation of necessary documentation for outpatient appointments.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in a Medical Secretarial role. Strong familiarity with medical terminology. Proficient audio typing skills are essential. Exceptional attention to detail, with strong typing and proofreading capabilities. Proficient in computer applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
