Key Responsibilities:

  • Care Coordination: Collaborate with doctors, other nurses, and healthcare professionals to plan and implement patient care plans.
  • Health Education: Educate patients and their families on managing illnesses or injuries, promoting healthy living practices, and preventing complications.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to medical emergencies, provide life-saving interventions, and stabilize patients.
  • Medical Equipment Use: Operate and monitor medical equipment and devices such as IVs, ventilators, or cardiac monitors.
  • Patient Advocacy: Act as a liaison between patients and other healthcare providers to ensure patient needs and concerns are addressed.
  • Wound Care and Dressings: Provide care for surgical sites, wounds, and injuries to prevent infection and promote healing.
  • Patient Support: Offer emotional support to patients and families, especially in critical or end-of-life situations.
  • Compliance with Protocols: Adhere to healthcare regulations, hospital policies, and ethical standards to ensure patient safety and quality care.
