About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Hywel Dda University Health Board. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of excellent healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide holistic nursing care to patients with a range of needs, including functional illnesses and behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia.
- Work collaboratively with doctors, nurses, healthcare support workers, advanced nurse practitioners, occupational therapists, psychologists, and pharmacists to deliver person-centered care.
- Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of patients, taking into account their physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote excellent patient care and safety.
- Participate in education and training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge, and to support the development of others.
Requirements
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Experience of providing direct nursing care to patients with a range of needs.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills
- Degree in Nursing or related field.
- Post-registration study and training in areas such as POVA, Child Protection, and Intermediate Life Support.
- Clear understanding of clinical governance frameworks and evidence-based practice.
- Ability to speak Welsh (desirable).
