Job Title: Forensic Nurse Examiner

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Forensic Nurse Examiner to join our team at Nurture Health and Care Ltd. As a Forensic Nurse Examiner, you will play a critical role in our multidisciplinary team, providing assessments and evidence that inform legal outcomes.

About the Role

As a Forensic Nurse Examiner, you will be responsible for conducting holistic, forensic clinical assessments for children, young people, and adults who have experienced sexual assault. You will work closely with our team to ensure high-quality care and evidential integrity for all clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed forensic examinations and collect evidence in compliance with the Forensic Science Regulator's guidelines.
  • Provide sensitive and trauma-informed care to clients, ensuring a thorough understanding of their needs and circumstances.
  • Uphold the highest standards of data integrity and confidentiality in documentation and evidence handling.
  • Co-produce individual management plans tailored to the needs of each client.
  • Provide testimony in court, contributing to the integrity of legal proceedings.
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development as part of our Novice to Expert programme.
  • Lead initiatives, mentor peers, and engage in programmes designed to enhance professional skills and service delivery.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
  • Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience.
  • Phlebotomy skills and competence in venepuncture.
  • Safeguarding knowledge and thorough understanding of safeguarding principles and procedures for both children and adults.
