Position: Lead HR Consultant

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract - 12 months (Maternity Cover)

Work Arrangement: Full-Time, Hybrid and Flexible Working

Compensation: Salary up to £39,000 plus a highly competitive benefits package, including private healthcare coverage.

Medlock Partners Ltd is seeking to appoint a seasoned HR Consultant to join a global digital transformation consultancy for a fixed-term engagement.

In the role of HR Consultant, you will collaborate with the HR Manager to address a variety of general HR matters.

Reporting directly to the HR Manager, you will also assist in mentoring an HR Coordinator while engaging with key stakeholders to enhance business performance through a cohesive HR strategy.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee a diverse range of employee relations issues, including absence management, performance evaluations, investigations, disciplinary actions, and organizational changes, ensuring compliance with current employment legislation and company policies.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to management on HR best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of HR policies and maintain the employee handbook.
  • Conduct Return to Work interviews and facilitate support for Wellness Action Plans and Occupational Health referrals as necessary.
  • Gather and analyze HR-related employee data, providing reports and management information as required for the Senior Management Team.
  • Administer staff feedback surveys, analyze the results, and recommend improvements.
  • Offer support for the HR Coordinator and Talent Acquisition Partner as needed.
  • Assist with recruitment efforts across the organization when required.

Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar generalist HR Consultant role, preferably within a dynamic and agile professional services environment.
  • Experience managing a broad spectrum of employee relations cases.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a larger HR team.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
