Position Overview

The role involves a commitment to office attendance twice weekly, primarily based in Northampton, with flexibility to engage with other Barclays strategic locations.

Role Purpose

The primary objective is to assist the Risk Function in achieving its goal of ensuring the bank's financial and operational integrity by proactively identifying, evaluating, mitigating, and monitoring risks across various business sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulation of strategic risk direction, including the adoption of current methodologies and processes.
  • Oversight of the risk department, managing team performance, and implementing risk priorities and objectives.
  • Management of relationships with risk stakeholders, ensuring the quality of external third-party services.
  • Compliance with risk policies, standards, and frameworks, while maintaining a robust control environment.

  • Guide and communicate complex information effectively to team members.
