Job Description

Cubis Systems is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Operations Manager to join our team at our Tallington site. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in driving business improvement projects and installations, working closely with production engineers to improve manufacturing processes, and supporting the leadership team with project management and development of the plant's infrastructure and growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project leadership and management of business improvement projects and installations.
  • Collaborate with production engineers to improve manufacturing processes, flow of materials, and automation projects.
  • Support the leadership team with project management and development of the plant's infrastructure and growth.
  • Assist the engineering team with capital expenditure projects from identification of new opportunities.
  • Develop and implement lean concepts with the assistance of the manufacturing engineering team.
  • Develop best practices, identify opportunities to grow and improve the Tallington plant and wider business.
  • Ensure all company policies and processes are followed and compliant.
  • Process trouble shooting and development support - Quality & Environmental.
  • Other projects as defined appropriate, including CRH-based projects and initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Candidates must be technically advanced with the ability to manage complexity, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively.
  • High-level IT skills, including proficiency in full MS Office suite, Adobe Pro, and advanced Excel, as well as understanding and ability to utilize digital communications tools.
  • Eagerness to learn, adapt, and contribute actively to projects.
  • Experience in injection moulding or compression moulding is desirable.
Essential Criteria:
  • Candidates must be educated to Degree level, or equivalent, in an engineering discipline (Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering).
