Operations Assistant

Cubis Systems is seeking an experienced Assistant Operations Manager to join our team at our Tallington site. As a key member of our operations team, you will assist the local Operations Manager and the team in working on a range of projects to improve safety, develop people, improve quality, and upgrade the plant and its processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Project leadership and management of business improvement projects and installations.
- Work closely and liaise with production engineers to improve the plants manufacturing processes, flow of materials and automations projects.
- Supporting the leadership team with project management and development of the plant's infrastructure and growth.
- Assist the engineering team with the capital expenditure projects from their identification of new opportunities.
- Develop and implementation of lean concepts with the assistance of the manufacturing engineering team.
- Developing best practices, identifying opportunities to grow and improve the Tallington plant and wider business.
- Ensuring that all company policies and processes are worked to and are complaint.
- Process trouble shooting & development support – Quality & Environmental.
- Other projects as defined appropriate including CRH based projects and initiatives.
- High level IT skills including proficiency in full MS Office suite, Adobe Pro, Advanced Excel an understanding of, and ability to utilise, digital communications tools such as email and intranets.
- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and contribute actively to projects.
- Experience in injection moulding or compression moulding is desirable.
- Candidates must be educated to Degree level, or equivalent, in an engineering discipline (Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering).
