Chief Finance Officer

The Viking Academy Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Finance Officer to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and management to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of our educational vision, aims, and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality financial leadership and management to the Trust
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the Trust's educational vision and objectives
  • Manage the Trust's financial function, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Lead the promotion and delivery of good financial management across the Trust
  • Ensure sound and appropriate financial governance and risk management arrangements are in place

Requirements:

  • Experience in a senior financial role, preferably in a school or education setting
  • Accounting qualification, such as ACA or CIMA
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively to solve problems
