Job Title: Account Payable Controller Hybrid

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Officer to join our team at East Grinstead Courier. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our organization, including accounts, budgets, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage complex monthly recharges, ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Support the Finance Manager with monthly management accounts and identify variations in service line budgets.
  • Assist with bank statement reconciliation and add appropriate invoices to trade-shift.
  • Maintain the fixed asset list and prepayments, ensuring balances with Sage.
  • Liaise with ICB to resolve finance queries in a timely manner.
  • Track and monitor income eligible for VAT, notifying the Finance Manager when the threshold is reached.
  • Assist the Finance Manager with providing information for statutory accounts.
  • Investigate and resolve difficult queries from staff, customers, and suppliers.
  • Cross-check and process invoices in line with contracts, ensuring accurate coding and authorization.
  • Support the Finance Manager with data collation for reporting.
  • Undertake and provide support to surveys and audits as required.
  • Contribute to the updating of Finance policies as needed.
PCN Finance:
  • Raise invoices to PCNs, ensuring accrual.
  • Submit ARRS claims onto the portal for PCN-employed staff.
  • Manage PCN accounts, undertaking bank reconciliation and ensuring payments are made and received.
Skills and Experience:
  • AAT Level 4 or working towards.
  • Appropriate demonstrable experience in a Finance setting.
  • Knowledge of Management Accounting.
  • Experience using SAGE software.
  • Advanced understanding of Excel.
  • Understanding of accounting procedures.
