As a Registered Manager of a 5-bed Ofsted rated GOOD home, your responsibilities will include:


Crafting Individualized Care Plans : Ensure that each young person has a personalized plan addressing their care, educational, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic, and health needs.


Building a Strong Team : Collaborate with recruitment teams to attract the right talent for your home. Oversee company induction and personal development plans to maintain a stable team for the young individuals.


Encouraging Young People's Voices : Establish systems to engage young individuals in discussions about their care.


Assigning Key Workers : Designate a Key Worker for each young person to implement their care plan effectively.


Upholding High Standards : Ensure and monitor the delivery of high-quality care in accordance with National Minimum Standards and the Home's Statement of Purpose.


Addressing Complaints and Concerns : Take charge of resolving any complaints or child protection issues.


Collaborating with Stakeholders : Partner with parents, guardians, and other professionals to enhance the welfare of young individuals.


Participating in Meetings : Attend and contribute to childcare planning and review meetings as necessary.

Essential Qualifications and Experience


Commitment to Safety : Ensure that the children in your care receive the highest standard of support.


• Relevant Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a role related to residential care for children, including at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity within the last 5 years.


• Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or a commitment to obtain within 6 months of employment.


• Knowledge: Familiarity with The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements.


• Skills: Proficient in planning, organizing, budget management, resource allocation, and team leadership.


• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.


• Understanding of Trauma: Awareness of the needs of children with behavioral, emotional, and social challenges, including managing difficult behaviors.


• Driving License: Full UK driving license required.
