Contract Type: 12 month Fixed Term Contract

As the Registered Manager of a 5-bed Ofsted rated GOOD home, your responsibilities will include:

Creating Individualized Care Plans:

Ensure that each young person has a customized plan that addresses their care, educational, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic, and health requirements.


  • Complete the company induction and personal development plans, maintaining a strong team to provide familiar faces for the young individuals.

Encouraging Participation:
Develop systems to engage young people in discussions about their care.

  • Assign a Key Worker to each young person to implement their care plan.
  • Establish and uphold high-quality care standards in accordance with National Minimum Standards and the Home's Statement of Purpose.

Addressing Complaints and Concerns:
Take charge of resolving any complaints or child protection issues.

  • Collaborate with parents, guardians, and other professionals to promote the welfare of young individuals.

Engaging in Meetings:
Attend and contribute to childcare planning and review meetings as necessary.

Required Experience:

A minimum of 2 years in a role related to residential care for children, including at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity within the last 5 years.


  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or a commitment to begin within 6 months of employment.
  • Familiarity with National Minimum Standards, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Skills in planning, organization, budget management, resource allocation, and team leadership.

Understanding of BESD:
Knowledge of the needs of children with behavioral, emotional, and social difficulties, including strategies for managing challenging behavior.

Driving License:
