Role Purpose:

We are looking for an experienced Treasury Operations Manager to lead our Treasury Operations, which encompasses payment execution, bank reconciliations, foreign exchange hedging, cash flow forecasting, trade finance, bank documentation, and project initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in treasury operations, exceptional leadership skills, and a meticulous attention to detail.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of designated team members within the Treasury Operations Team, ensuring timely and accurate completion of bank reconciliations, payment processing, and GL entries.
  • Manage the release of trade finance instruments and ensure proper collection of supplier guarantees while addressing any arising issues.
  • Prepare reports regarding balance sheet foreign exchange exposure and develop proposals accordingly.
  • Guide team members to meet established timelines and KPI targets.
  • Contribute to the formulation, maintenance, and execution of policies and internal controls.
  • Assist in cash flow forecasting and consolidation of European entities, collaborating with the Treasury Manager to identify significant variances.
  • Handle bank administration and regulatory reporting as necessary.
  • Support the Treasury Manager with assigned projects within the Treasury function.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Relevant experience in a cross-border treasury team within core areas.
  • Fluent in business English; proficiency in a second European language is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Able to prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure.
  • Responsible for both team and individual contributions to achieve targets.
  • Preferred experience in people management.
  • Capable of fostering strong internal and external relationships.
  • Ambitious and eager to learn and grow professionally.
  • Experience in operational import and export trade finance, including CAD, CAA, and documentary LC is desirable.
  • Familiarity with SAP is preferred.

Location and Travel:

This position is part of the European Shared Service Centre team in Harlow (UK), with a hybrid working model requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office. Additional travel is expected to be minimal and limited to visits to other Synthomer locations as necessary.
