Job Summary:

UKME Mission Enterprise Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and organized Buyer to join our team in Surrey. As a Buyer, you will be responsible for procuring goods and services for our clients, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage office purchasing systems to ensure efficient ordering and delivery of goods.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate better prices and services.
  • Source and purchase goods in bulk to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Coordinate with the Office Manager to ensure seamless ordering and delivery processes.
  • Visit shops and stores to source items directly and speed up the ordering process.
  • Liaise with colleagues and supervisors to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Process invoices and manage stock control to ensure accurate and timely payments.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and colleagues, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Assist with planning and purchasing for children's entertainment areas, working closely with the Children's Entertainment Coordinator.
  • Collect receipts and obtain VAT claim forms on behalf of clients, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
  • Receiving and processing deliveries, ensuring they are correct and properly stored.
  • Pack and ship items to clients, maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Identify and organize the safe packing of hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Assist with restaurant bookings and party planning, providing exceptional customer service and attention to detail.
  • Organize cars, drivers, and security as requested, ensuring seamless and efficient service.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Perform word processing, filing, and computer-based administration tasks, including accurate job logging on the company system.
  • Carry out other reasonable requests as instructed by management, maintaining a high level of professionalism and discretion.

Requirements:

  • Previous office administration experience, preferably in a procurement or purchasing role.
  • Strong IT skills, including high competency with MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook, and the internet.
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Highly conscientious, with strong time management, organization, and planning skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated, with the ability to use initiative and work independently.
  • Highly flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Reliable and punctual, with a high level of professionalism and presentability.
  • Able to work well in a team and unsupervised, with excellent customer service skills and a high level of discretion.
