Head of Performance Services

CLD Recruitment is seeking an experienced Health & Social Head of Therapies to lead their amazing team. The main purpose of the role is leadership and management of the therapies team, including recruitment, appraisal, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. To lead, motivate, and manage the therapy team, ensuring effective service provision and positive outcomes.
  2. Responsible for the unit's complex caseload to provide highly specialist treatment programmes to meet individual needs and outcomes.
  3. To assess individual service user needs and develop an appropriate therapy programme to meet those needs.
  4. To implement evidence-based practice, ensuring effective service provision and positive outcomes.
  5. To share knowledge and expertise with other staff through formal and informal teaching within the therapy team and across the wider centre.
  6. To work closely with other areas of the organisation, including fundraising, marketing, and policy/campaigns, by providing information and analysis to support the delivery of the organisational strategy.
  7. Facilitating the safe and smooth running of the Service, the post holder is expected to maintain a safe working environment, maintain service user confidentiality, and occasionally take on reasonable additional tasks.
  8. This post normally holds no budgetary responsibility but will be expected to help control and minimise expenditure and costs where appropriate.
  9. Responsible for highlighting risks which impact on patient care, experience, or safety and to ensure that risks are managed, mitigated, and reported upon.
  10. Accountable to ensure that clinical services meet relevant Care Standards Act, Environmental Standards, and Health and Safety requirements.
  11. To be registered with and to work in accordance with the relevant Code of Professional Conduct at all times, providing forward-thinking clinical and professional leadership to therapy staff at all levels, ensuring that therapy is delivered to a high standard.
Qualifications:
  1. BSc degree level qualification in either Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy.
  2. Management degree or equivalent experience.
  3. Post-registration training in a relevant speciality.
