Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Administrative Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative support to our clinical staff and patients, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of our practice.

Main Responsibilities

The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for:

  • Receiving and directing patients, ensuring a courteous and efficient experience.
  • Providing administrative support to clinical staff, including data entry, filing, and document management.
  • Processing patient requests, including appointments, visits, and repeat prescriptions.
  • Managing patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assisting with scanning duties, including sorting and dating patient-related mail.
  • Performing coding tasks, including identifying relevant clinical information and coding patient records.
  • Providing clerical assistance to practice staff, including word processing, filing, and photocopying.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized reception area, including notice boards and leaflet dispensers.
  • Assisting with telephone duties, including answering calls and taking messages.
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to the effectiveness of the team.
