About the Role
The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our team at the Edgware Kidney Care Centre Dialysis Unit. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized care and support to patients, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
- Perform a range of manual and clerical duties, including administrative tasks and maintaining accurate records.
- Support registered nurses in the provision of a safe and caring environment, adhering to Trust standards and statutory requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, relatives, and multidisciplinary team members, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge, contributing to the growth and success of the team.
Requirements
- Demonstrable ability to meet the Trust Values, including empathy, communication, and teamwork.
- Willingness to develop and work towards new diploma Level 2 or equivalent, with demonstrable literacy and numeracy skills.
- Previous experience of team work, customer care, and/or a carer role/setting is desirable.
- Ability to provide individualized care and empathy, with good organizational skills and effective communication.
- Flexibility in shift and working patterns to meet the needs of the service.
