Financial Operations Manager

Birmingham / Hybrid

We are on the lookout for a Financial Operations Manager to join our vibrant and rapidly evolving organization within the hospitality industry. The successful candidate will lead the financial accounting team and oversee the daily finance operations, ensuring efficiency and precision in financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the financial accounting team, ensuring seamless daily operations.
  • Generate weekly cash flow forecasts and prepare annual cash budgets.
  • Enhance cash flow through effective management of working capital and credit control.
  • Establish and maintain robust financial controls and processes.
  • Supervise daily treasury activities and ensure compliance with covenants.
  • Manage foreign currency risks and execute suitable hedging strategies.
  • Lead the accounts payable team, ensuring adherence to financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the submission of statutory returns (VAT, ONS).
  • Collaborate with the Group to prepare audited statutory accounts and annual corporation tax returns.
  • Drive systems and process enhancements across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Statutory lines.

What We're Seeking:

  • Qualified ACA/CIMA or ACCA Accountant.
  • Extensive experience in Financial Control, preferably within an SME.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage, mentor, and develop a team of approximately 7 individuals.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative business partnering approach.
  • Proactive self-starter with a passion for process and system improvements.
  • Proven track record in a comparable finance leadership position.
